Wellington Winter Champs 2016

Our annual pool competition will be on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June at the Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. It will consist of 3 sessions (two on Saturday and one on Sunday). The three pool disciplines are available: static, dynamics and dynamics no fins. We will have two grades: recreational grade and competition grade. #freediveNats: Final competition standings

It was a very successful competition weekend, and we are proud to announce that Seal Guy Brew and honorary Seal (and founder) Kathryn Nevatt took out the Men’s and Women’s titles. Guy came out of retirement for this, and blew us all away with his amazing performances. Seal Chris Marshall came second, and sometime-Seal Phil Clayton third in what was a very competitive Men’s competition, whilst debutante Gemma Cookson of Auckland took second and our lovely Lady Seal Julia Cunneen took out third in the impressive Women’s comp. Baby Seal Kristine Zipfel knocked her PB’s out of the water in the rec grade with some very impressive performances. #freediveNats: Comp shirts!

For those of you who have registered already, or who register before Tuesday, there will be a competition shirt (cotton or quick dry – your choice) in your future. It is included in the comp fee so you would be silly to miss out. (Enter afterwards, and you’ll be contributing to the shirts of others – so register early!)
